AUGUST 24th, 1925.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas, August 24th, 1925. Iaeeting was called
to order by Mayor Hargett, the roll was called and Commis-
sioners THargett, Chambers and Campbell and City "ttorney
Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Fleeting of August 17th,
1925, were read and approved as read.
Application and bond of V1. B. A.1cl4ickle for taxicab
license was submitted.
Commissioner Chambers moved that same be referred to
the City Attorney.
Binder for insurance policy for Lee churchman to
operate a taxicab in the City of Salina was submitted,
Commissioner Campbell moved that license be continued
in effect until insurance policy be submitted.
City Engineer, Vim. Theisner submitted the following:

Gentlemen:
I hereby tender you my resignation as City Engineer
of Salina, z,.ansas to take effect at the close of day, August
31st, 1925.
I wish to extend to each of you my deep appreciation
and thanks -for the many kindnesses and courtesies shown me
during my four years of service under you.

Commissioner Campbell moved that resignation be accept-
ed by Board of Commissioners.
Plans and specifications and estimate of cost for the
curbing and guttering of:
Twelfth Street from 'Vlashington to r"rescott;
Phillips Street from 'tashin ton to Morrison;
Prescott Avenue from Eleventh to 'twelfth;
maker Otreet from South to 11orrison;
W ashington Avenue from Eleventh to Twelfth;
and for the curbing, guttering and surfacing with sand clay:
Jeviell Avenue from Santa 2e to Osborne Streets, irras
received, and on motion City Clerk was instructed to advertise
for bids -for such work, bids to be received up to and includ-
ing Monday, August 31st, 1925 at 4:00 P. I4.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
