Regular IMeeting of the Board of Commissioners, Play 11th,
1925! I„ieeting was called to order by acting lv'ayor Campbell,
the roll was called and Commissioners Chambers and Campbell
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Hargett absent.
The minutes of the Regular T.Teeting of lay 4th, 1925,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim.”
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Aves: Chamb-
ers and Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Cormissioner Hargett absent.
Acting Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3105.
The following resolution was introduced for second read -
ing :
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas, that the curbing and guttering of
Baker Street in the City of Salina, Kansas from the south
line of South Street to the north line of Morrison Avenue
in said City be and the same is hereby determined to be a
necessary improvement, and that said Baker Street be curbed
and guttered ,rithin the limits above defined in the manner
provided by law.
Introduced for first reading, May 4th, 1925.
Adopted and approved -------- P.tay 11th, 1925.

On motion of Commissioner Chambers the resolution was
adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Chambers and Campbell
(2) Nays: (0) Commissioner ffiLrgbtt absent.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance fixing the salary of the Police Judge of the
City of Salina and repealing Section One (1) of Ordinance
Number 2155 the same being Section 6-305 of the Revised Ordi-
nances of the City of Salina 1925."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Campbell submitted his resignation as a
member of the City Planning Cormission by reason of having
been elected Commissioner of the City of Salina.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell resignation was
accepted by the Board of Commissioners.
City Manager Layton submitted the names of the follow-

On motion of Commissioner Chambers appointments were
confirmed by the Board of Commissioners.
City `1ana4er Layton submitted the name of N. E. Wigley
as City Hall Custodian, and on motion of Commissioner Cahmb-
ers appointment vias confirmed by the Board of Commissioners.
City i'anager Layton submitted the name of J. P. Mans
as Desk Sergeant, and on motion of Commissioner Chambers
the appointment was confirmed by the Board of Commissioners.
N. C. Henshavi & J. A. Neeley submitted a bid for con-
cession privileges in Oakdale Park during the season of 1925.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers bid was accepted
subject to the sinning of contract to be prepared by the
City _attorney. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers, Board of Commis-
sioners adjourned.
