-egular meeting of the Hoard of Commissioners; February 9th,
1925. L'Ieeting was called to order by Mayor Ikar�;ett, the roll was
called and CDgLmissioners i�.argett, Dvar and Chambers and City
Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the regular I. eeting of February 2nd, 1925
were read and approved as read.
The following resolution was introduced:
.iH_LP>>"LS ; there is now in the hands of the City
Treasurer of Salina, Fn- nsa.s, to the credit of the Sinking Uund
of said City, a sum of money in excess of -,11000.00 which is not
bea-ring interest and which the City of Salina -will not be re-
quired to expend within the next twelve months, NOS
BL, IT RAS OI TED by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas that the City 'Treasurer of said City
be and he is hereby authorized and (11rected,to deposit in the i
approved deposatories of the City of Salina, ha.nsas the sum of
01,000.00 on Time Certificates of Deposit drawin 4"' interest,
for a period of not to exceed twelve (12) months, and that said
sum of �r1,000.00 in said: Sinking Fund of the City of Sall.na,
Kansas be transferred from,,the checkins accounts in which it it
now deposited to Time Certificates of 'deposit as aforesaid.

On motion of Comxrissioner Cilar,bers the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was i+acl; Ayes: ?Iaar.7-ett, Dyar
and Chambers (3) Flays: (0) The `ayor approved the same and
is nu3-, tiered 3066.
An ordinance was introduced for second rending entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance ITumber 3037 being
an ordinance regulating vehicle traffic on certain streets and
designating certain streets and marts thereof as arterial
higIruays and repealinl- said original section l."
On Motion on Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the followinrr, vote vias had; Ayes: Hart;e tt , Dyar and Chamb-
ers (3) Mays . ?0) The -ayor approved the same and is numbered
3067.

Seventh Street and Dish Streets in the City of Salina, t`ansas.
On motion of Cor=issl.oner Dyar the report of the City Plan-
ning Commission vias adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading,entitled:
ordinance regulating and prohibiting certain vrires in over tt
and across the public streets and. alleys in the City of Salina.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first rea'ing entitled -
'An ordinance amending Section 13 of Ordinance lw-,ber 19n3 being
an ordinance regulating the use of certain vehicles on the streets,
avenues and alleys of t'ne City of Sa:_;na, I q nses, and repealing
said original section 3-3 of such ordinance.
On motion of Corvmissioner Dyl-:r sane was referred to the
B- rd of Cornni ssioners.
City �khno ;er Iiayton reported favorably on ti -e petition
asking ttiat incandescent light located at the corner of =ark
and ,irteenth Streets be chf.nged. to an irc ight, and reported
tha- same has been installed,
The uditor's leport for the year 1924 was received, and
on motion of Commissioner Dyar sar:e was accepted and arproved
by the Board of Co Iniiss ioners.
Bids were 'received for truck to be used by the Street
Department.

On motion, same t ere taken un(?er advisement by the Board of
Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking; the Board. of Cor^omissioners
to enact an ordinance requirin- automob:Iles andother vehicles to
stop before crossing railroad crossin7s in the City of Salina,

On motion of Commissioner -spar, Doard of Commissioners
adjourned.
