SALINA, KAMAS.
JANUARY 26th, 1925.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners,
January 26th, 1925. 11eeting was called to order by
Mayor "argett, the roll was called and Commissioners
Hargett, Dyar and Chambers and City Attorney Morris
responded.
The minutes of the Regular Pleeting of January
19th, 1925 were read and approved as read.
The following resolution was introduced:
"THRlZE.1 3, there is now in the hands of the
City Treasurer of Salina, 1�a.nsas, to the credit of
the Sinking Fund of said City, a sum of money in excess
of '3,000.00 which is not beaftng interest, and which
the City of Salina will not be required to expend .rithin
the next twelve (12) months , NOW THIEREFO RE,
BE IT REISOLVED by the Board of Commissioners
of the City of Salina, Kansas that the City Treasurer of
said City be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
deposit in the approved depositaries of the City of Salina,
Kansas the sum of 0,000.00 on Time Certificates of Deposit
drawing 4 o intere=st, for a period of not to exceed twelve
(12) months, and that said sum of=33,000.00 in said Sink-
ing Fund of the City of Salina, Kansas be transferred from
the checking accounts in which it is now deposited to Time
Certificates of Deposit as aforesaid.

On motion of Commissioner Dyar the resolution was
adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Hargett,
Dyar and Chambers (3) Nays: (0).
An ordinance was introduced for first reading en-
titled: "An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance
Number 271 of the City of Salina, entitled. ".An ordinance
to provide or the collection of fines" and repealing said
original section 3 of Ordinance Ilumber 271. and,,
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance repealing certain ordinances of the City of
Salina, Kansas. tr
On motion of Commissioner Dyar, same tiros referred to
jthe Board of Cormissioners.
On emotion of Commissioner Dyar, Board of Corvnission-
ers adjourned.
