11.egular l'ieeting of the Board of Commissioners, Jannary
5th, 1925. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Hargett, the
roll was called and Commissioners Hargett, Dyar and Chambers
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular 'eeting of December 29th, 19249
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the salaries and compensation of
certain officers and employees of the City of Salina, 1iansas,
and repealing certain parts of Ordinance Dumber 2906 of the
City of ''alina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes : Hargett, Dyar and
Chambers (3) Nays: (0) `The 1ayor approved the same and is
numbered 3060.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: j
"An ordinance creating a certain office and authorizing the
City 'aanager to fill the same by appointment, and providing for the
payment of a salary therefor and repealing all ordinances in
conflict he_°et^pith.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final cdoption the roll was
called and the follo%,ring vote was had; Ayes: Hargett , Dyar
and Chambers (3) Nays: (0) The='Iayor approved the same
and, is numbered 3061.

Commissioner Dyar moved that licenses be granted for
the a.ove named pool halls.
Petitions were received asking for the curbing and gut-
tering of Twelfth Street from Prescott "venue to t.ashing-ton
-venue; also 4-rescottvenue from �leventh Street to `1'�Arelfth
�
Street. ame were ordered filed.
On motion of Commissioner Dyar, Board. of Commissioners
adjourned.
