Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, August 25, 1930.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was called
and Commissioners Helvering and Dodds responded. Commissioner Steven-
son and City Attorney Norris absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 18th, 1930 and
August 22nd, 1930, were read and approved as read.

Commissioner Dodds moved that the City Engineer bring Front
Street, south of Walnut Street to grade, and relay the sidewalk on
west side of said street. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance authorizing and providing for the issuance of Improvement
Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $94,331.60 to pay
the cost of improving certain streets and alleys in said City."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking for paving of Overhill Road,
from the south line of Crestview Drive to east line of Greenway Road.
Same was ordered filed.
A petition was presented asking for the paving of Greenway Road,
from the south line of Crestview Drive to the north line of Overhill
Road. Same was ordered filed.
A petition was presented asking for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary Sewer No. 145, beginning at drop manhole in Pershing Street,
south of Republic Avenue, thence west to Funston Street, thence
south in Funston Street to Jewell Avenue. Same was referred to the
City Engineer.

A petition was presented asking for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary Sewer No. 145 in Highland Court Addition to the City of
Salina, Kansas, said sewer beginning at drop manhole in Pershing
Street between Beloit Avenue and Sunset Drive, thence west through
' Block 9, Highland Court Addition to Funston Street. Same was referred
to the City Engineer.
A petition was presented asking for the service of a bus line
to go west on Crawford and south on Sheridan, Southern Heights
Addition. Same was referred to the City Manager.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
