COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMS SIOt ERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
AUGUST 11, 1930.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, August ll,
1930. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Dodds, the roll
was called and Commissioners Dodds and Stevenson and City Attorney
Norris responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.
The minutes of the Regular meeting of August 4, 5930, were
read and approved as read.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance levying special assessments against certain property in
the City of Salina to pay the cost of constructing certain sidewalks
therein."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had: Ayes: Dodds and Stevenson (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3946.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance vacating certain streets and alleys in the City of
Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its fial adoption the roll was called
and the following vot6 was had; ''yes: Dodds and Stevenson (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3947.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinanance providing for the cutting of weeds in the City of Salina,
Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
Tentative Budget for the Fear 1931 was presentdd and read
on first reading.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson, duly s000nded and carried
the Mayor was instructed to` sign might --of -w&7 eastment- for 'United'
'ower & Light-Corporatiorij-'granting an easement for power line across
property of city in Blks. 1 and 2 Riverside Pgrk AddPon.
On. motion of Commissioner Stevenson o ommissioners
adjourned.
