Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was called ! and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and City Attorney Aorris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 21, 1930, were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance excluding from the City limits that portion of Stack Place lying south of Stack Avenue, and repealing Section 6 of Ordinance Number 3627. On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final acb ption the roll was called and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and °teven- son (3) Nays: 0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3933. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "In ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3895, relating to the parking of busses." Un motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3934. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for and levying a special assessment against certain property in the City of Salina.. for the payment of the cost of sanding Cloud Street from Fourth Street to Decatur Street." On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the follotiving vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and teven- son (3) 1Vays: (o) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3935. A petition was presented asking for the vacating of Russell Street from bourth Street to Osborne Street; and alley between Cla£lin Avenue and Mussell Street from Fourth Street to Osborne Street. S�tm.e was ordered filed. A petition was presented asking for toilet facilities in Smitherts Addition, on tract of ground used for shows and carnivals. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract with L. W. RExroad I for the construction of curbing and guttering on Woodland Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue to Seventh Street, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds." On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. i An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the building and construction of certain lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts No. 147 and 160, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending issuance and sale of bonds." { On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
