COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JULY 21, 1930.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, July 21, 1930.
Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Dodds, the roll was
called and Commissioners Dodds and Stevenson and City Attorney
Norris responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 14, 1930; Special
i Meeting of July 14, 1930; and Regular Meeting of July 19, 1930
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dodds and Stevenson (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3930.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Seventh
Street from the north line of Elm Street to the south line of `r
oar hi Street in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and
providing for the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dodds and Stevenson
(2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor ap-
proved the same and is numbered 3931.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina to pay the cost of curbing and guttering Woodland Avenue
from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the east line of 5evdnEh
Street in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing
for the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
I and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dodds and Stevenson
(2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor ap-
proved the same and is numbered 3932.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance excluding from the City limits that portion of Stack
Place lying south of Stack Avenue, and r epealing Section 6 of
Ordinance No. 3627.11
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the

Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An.
ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3855, relating to
the parking of busses.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
