An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."

On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson
(3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3920.
City Engineer submitted Estimate No. 4 to L. W. Rexroad for
labor performed in the construction of Dry Creek Flood Control improve-
ments, under contract dated March 10, 1930, and on motion of Commission
or Steven -son same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion
adopted.

Construction Company, for labor performed and materials furnished
in the construction of Storm Sewers Number 17 and 18, under con-
tract dated April 7, 1930, and on motion of Commissioner Stevenson
same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.

R. C. Snyder, for labor performed and materials furnished in the
construction of Lateral Sewers Number 153 and 157, under contract
dated March 17, 1930, and on motion of Commissioner Stevenson same
was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.

appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina,
to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Front Street
from the south line of Pine Street to the south 1 n� e of o�rtF_Street
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the
collection a nd payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the followin vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven-
son (3) Nays: 0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3926.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments
on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to pay the
cost of curbing, guttering and paving pum Avenue from the east
line of Ohio Street to the east line of Usso Siam�3 a Avenue in the City
of Salina, Kansas,,and relating to and providing for the collection
and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments
i on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to pay
the cost of paving Prescott Avenue from the east line of Eleventh
Street to the east line of Twelfth Street in the City of Salina,
Kansas, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment
of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments
on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to pay
the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Chicago Street from the
south line of Ash Street to the north line of 6tate treet in the
City cf Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the collect-
ion and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering of
Woodland Avenue from Seventh Street to Santa Fe Avenue was received,
and on motion oCommissioner Stevenson, Monday, July 14, 1930 at 4:00
P. M. Was designated as a Special Meeting, at which time the report
will be taken up and acted on by the Board of Commissioners, and
that City Clerk be instructed to giv e written notice in the official
City paper as provided by law.
City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate
of cost for the construction of Lateral Sewer No -A 1471, as provided

City Clerk was instructed to -advertise for bids far the con-
struction of Lateral Sewers No. 147 and No. 160, bids to be received
up to and including 14onday, July 14th, 1930 at 4:00 P. M. Motion
adopted.
City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate of
cost for the construction of curing and guttering Woodland Avenue
from Seventh Street to Santa Fe venue, and on motion of Commissioner
Stevenson same were adolted by the Board of Commissioners.
City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for the
construction of curbing and guttering Woodland Avenue from Santa Fe
Avenue to Seventh Street, to be received up to and including Monday,

July 14, 1930 at 4:00 P. M. Motion adopted.
Application and liability policy from WilbF E. Taylor Asking
for license to operate a taxicab in the City of alina was received,
and on motion of Commissioner Dodds license was granted. Motion
adopted.
A plat of Clodfelter's Replat was filed, and on motion of
Commissioner Dodds same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
