COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMIS SI ONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JULY 3, 1930.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, July 3, 1930.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was
called and Commissioners Helvering and Stevenson and City Attorney
Norris responded. Commissioner Dodds absent.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina,
Kansas to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Front Street
from the south line of Pine Street to the south line of Borth Street
In the amity of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the
collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina,
to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Gypsum Avenue
from the east line of Ohio Street to the east line ofColumbia
Avenue in the City of Salina.. Kansas, and relating to and provid-
ing for the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
City Engineer submitted estimate of cost for sidewalks to
be constructed as provided by Ordinance Number 3803 of the City
of Salina.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson CityClerk was instructed
to advertise for sidewalk bids to be received up to and including
Monday, July 14, 1930 at 4:00 P. M. Motion adopted.
l�layor Helvering appointed John Frederick, E. D. Martin and
C. W. Fielder to act as appraisers in ascertaining the valuation of
certain lots and pieces of ground 1�able for the cost of curbing
and guttering Woodland Avenue from Santa Fe 'venue to Seventh
Street in the 'i y of Salina,, Kansas.

On motion of Commissioner Stevenson appointments were con-
firmed by the Board of Co mnis sioners .
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
