Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, June 16,
1930. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll
was called and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and
City Attorney Norris responded.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 9, 1930 were read
and approved as read.
An ordinances was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the ro 11 was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven-
son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3897.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "Air
ordinance relating toand apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina,
Kansas to pay the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary Sewers in
Lateral Sewer Districts numbered 153 and 157, and relating to and
providing for the collection and payment or -such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven-
son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3898.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An

-ordinance relating to the appvvpritLtion of an easement over and across
and in certain private property for a right-of-way for the purpose of
constructing a sanitary sewer and for the laying water line."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven-
son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3899.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance creating and defining a certain sanitary server district
in the City of Salina, designated as Lateral Sewer District No. 160
providing for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer in such
district and for the cost thereof, and for the levying of special
assessments against the property in such districts for the payment
of such cost, and for the issuing of bonds therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven-
son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3900.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance levying special assessments against certain property to
pay the cost of constructing certain water and sewer service pipes in
certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
On motion of commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commissioners
