06-09-1930 Minutes1 1 1 1 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JUNE 9, 1930 Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, June 9, 1930. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 2, 1930 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract with L. W. Rexroad for the construction of certainpaving improvements on a certain street in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale i of bonds." i r ; On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3896. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess- ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary Sewers in Lateral Sewer Districts numbered 153 and 157, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance creating and defining certain lateral sanitary sewer dis- tricts in the City of Salina, designated as Leteral Sewer District Number 160, providing for the construct ion of Lateral Sanitary Sewer in such district and for the cost thereof, and for the levying of special assessments against the property in such districts for the payment of such cost, and for the issuing of bonds therefor." On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to the appropriation of an easement over and across and in certain private property for a right-of-way for the purpose of constructing a saniatary sewer and for the laying water line." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson--ame was referred to the Board of Commissioners. Trust Deed was received from J. S. Cobb with a deposit of $7.5.00. Commissioner Dodds moved that same be accepted and filed, and that the City Treasurer be instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance No. 3530 of the City of Salina. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commission- ers adjourned. i City Clerk
