05-26-1930 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. 1 is Commissioners Room, Salina, Kansas. May 26, 1930. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 26, 1930. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was called kndr-06mmii'sigioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson responded. City Attorney Norris absent. The minutes of the Special Meeting of May 19, 1930 and Regular Meeting of May 19, 1930 were read and approved as read. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the curbing and guttdring of Woodlezd Avenue fromeet the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the east line o gevent i i On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the follow-ing vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 506. i The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 263 of Journal Number 12. Trust Deed was received from Mrs. Mary E. Wright, with a deposit of $100.00. Commissioner Dodds moved that same be adopted and filed, and that the City Treasurer be instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Sali.ha. Motion adopted. I A petition was esented asking for the sanding of Hancock Street from Crawford venue to Republic Avenue. Same was referred to the City Manager. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance defining and establishing a parking zone for busses or stages on the south side of Ash Street in the City of Salina and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance and providing a penalty for the violation of this ordinance." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the Bard of Commissioners* A petition was presented asking for the re-oponing of the alley running north of Woodland Avenie through Block 8, Woodland Addition to the south line of the Donmyer Tourist Camp. Same was referred to the City Xsnager. On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
