Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 19, 1930.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor xelvering, the roll was called
and Commissioners xelvering, Dodds and Stevenson and City ''ttorney
Norris responded.
Meeting was held for the purpose of hearing any complaints
that might be made by property owners as to the valuation placed
on certain lots and pieces of land in the City of Salina, on which
to base the cost of excavating, curbing, guttering and paving of:
Chicago Street from Ash Sireet to State Street; j
Columbia Avenue from Ash treet to Iron Avenue;,
Ellsworth Avenue from Highland Avenue to Ninth Street;
Gypsum Avenue from Ohio Street to Columbia Avenue;
Highland Avenue from Claflin Avenue to Cloud Street;
Park Place from Oakdale Avenue to Oakdale Drive;
Washington Avenue from Tenth Street to Eleventh Street;
Seventh street from Elm Street to North street;
Front Street from Pine Street to North Street;
Excavating and paving:
Center Street from Fifth Street to Kenwood Park entrance;
Prescott Avenue from Eleventh Street to Twelfth Street;
Santa Fe Avenue (center of) from T incola A ep? Po Otis Avenue;
Third Street from Iron Avenue south to movky i11 River.
Lateral Sanitary Sewers No. 153 and No. 157.
The appraisers report for the curbing, guttering and paving
Center Street from Fifth Street to Kenwood Park entrance was taken
up and read as follows:

Vie, John Frederick, C. W. Fielder and E. D. Martin being,duly
and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does hereby
solemnly swear that he is disinterested in any of the property
liable to special assessment for the cost of paving Center Street
from Fifth Street to entrance to Kenwood Park, as more par
ly described and provided .for in Ordinance No. 3846 of the City
of Salina, Kansas; and that each of us will tb the best of our' and
ability make a true and impartial appraisement of all the lots
and pieces of ground abutting on such respective street as above
mentioned without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon,
for the distance to be improved as set forth and designated by the
Board of Commissioners in the ordinance above mentioned. So help
us God.
