Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Larch 24,
1930. Meeting was called to order by Mayor I-Telvering., the roll
was called and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson re-
sponded. City Attorney Norris absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of Yarch 17,, 1930 were
read and approved as read.
Bids as advertised., for the sale of 834,2e7.75 Sewer Im-
provement Bonds were received as follows:

Commissioner Dodds moved that the contract for the sale of
434,287-75 Sewer Improvement Bonds be awarded to Central Trust Com-
pany of Topeka, Kansas, as per their bid submitted, and that the
Mayor be authorized to sign such contract on behalf of the City, and
that certified checks be returned by the City Clerk to the unsuc-
cessful bidders. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the
City of Salina, Kansas, in the sun. of $34,267.75 to pay the cost of
repairing and reconstructing part of a certain sewer in the City of
Salina and repealing Ordinance Number 3844 passed and approved
Irlarch 12, 1930."
On notion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
City Clerk showed notice of proposed change in zoning ordi-
nance and of meeting for protests. No one appeared to object
to proposed change.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 3188 being an ordinance
dividing the City of Salina into zones and districts, and regulating
and restricting the location of trades and industries, and the uses
of land in such districts or zones, and defining an additional
Commercial District or Zone."
On notion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the construction of certain storm severs
in the City of Salina to be designated as Storm Sewers No, 17 and
18 and providing for the issuing of Improvement Bonds to pay the
cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the building
and construction of certain lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral Sani-
tary Sewer Districts No. 2-53 and 157, and providing for the issuance
of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending issuance and
sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
