Meeting vias called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was called and Commiss,.oners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and City Attorney Norris responded. I The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 10, and Regular Meeting of TvIarch 12, 1930 were read and approved as read. t i An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes." On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3845. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution providing for the appointment of householders to assess damages to property by reason of the construction of improvements provided for by Ordinance No. 3820." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the resolution was adopt- ed as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 505. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 154 of reso- lution Book Number 2. Bids were received as advertised for the construction of i Lateral Sanitary Sewers Nos. 153 and 157 as follows: jH. J. Taylor Construction Co., Salina, Kansas L. W. Rexroad, Salina, Kansas. R. C. Snyder, Galina, Kansas. j City Engineers estimate for the above named work was read. ICommissioner Dodds moved that the contract for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers No. 153 and 157 be awarded to R. C. Sny- der as per his bid submitted, and that certified checks be returned by the City Clerk to the unsuccessful bidders, and that the Mayor be authorized to sign such contract on behalf of the City. Motion car- ried. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the paving of Center Street from the east line of Fifth Street to entrance to Kenwood ar , and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be assessed and the manner of pa yment therefor." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3846. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of Chicago Street from the south line of Ash Street to the north line oi'�tate Street, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same i shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor." On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance waw read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3847. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the curbing guttering and paving of Columbia Avenue from the south line of Ash Otreet to the north line oT on Avenue, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor." 216 On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3848. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of Ellsworth Avenue from the west line of Highland Avenue to the east lin-e-77- Ninth ine o -Ninth z:-treet, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) kayor approved the same and is numbered 3849. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and ging of Front Street from the south line of Pine Street to the south line of, oar h_7treet, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3851. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of Gypssu�m Avenue from the east line of Ohio Street to the east line of Columbiia�venue, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor." On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3852. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of Highland Avenue from the south line of Claf lin "venue to the north l: ne of of Street, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor." An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the paving of that unpaved portion of Santa Fe Avenue from the north line of Lincoln Avenue to the south line of Harsh Street, and. providing for the cost thereof, hoer the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor." On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was rears and adopted by sedtions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) ITayor approved the same and is numbered 3856. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the paving of the center of Santa Fe Avenue from the north line of Harsh Street to the south line of Otis Avenue, and providing for the cost thereof how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor. On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is nizibered 3857. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of Seventh Street from the north line of Elm Street to the south line or oN rTFrSTreet, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor." On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final acb ption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3858. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of Washin ton Avenue from the west line of Tenth Street to the east 13ne oEleventh otreet, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven- son (3) Nays: �O) Mayor approved the same and is nunbered 3859. A petition was presented asking for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer from the main sewer in Pershing Street west to Funston Street between Sunset Drive and Ellsworth Avenue.
