Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, February
7th, 1930. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the
roll was called and Commissioners Helvering,Dodds and Stevenson
1 and City Attorney Norris responded.
"An ordinarnce was introduced entitled: "An ordinance providir4
for grading and draining the Salina Municipal Airport, and for
letting a contract therefor.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
! called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds
and Stevenson (3) Nays.: (0) Mayor approved the same and is num-
bered 3832.
On account of the existing emergency caused by the lack of
proper landing facilities at the Salina Municipal Airport, and the
necessity that the Airport be graded and drained at the earliest
possible date so as to make the same available for saf6 use by
aircraft, I request that the foregoing ordinance be passed on the
day of its introduction. Dated February 7th, 1930.

City Engineer was instructed to prepare plans and specifica-
tions for the above named work, to be filed February 10, 19300
and the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids to be re-
ceived up to and including Thursday, February 13th, 1930 at 10:00
P. M. Motion adopted.

adjourned.
