COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY 3, 1930.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, February
31 1930. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll
was called and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and
City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 27, 1930 were
j read and approved as read.

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."

On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and
Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered
4 3830.
City Engineer submitted Estimate No. 2 to H. J. Taylor Con-
struction Company for the repair of Ash Street sewer, under con-
tract dated December 9th, 1929, and on motion of Commissioner
Stevenson same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
rAn ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."

On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
j and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and
Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered
I 3831.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and paving of
Frost Street from the west line of Ninth Street to the east line
I
or Sherman reet."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the resolution was
adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson
(3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 499.

On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the fol-
lowing vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson (3)
Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 500.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled.: "A
resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and paving of Park
Place from the west line of Oakdale Avenue to the east line --off^
OakaiiTe Drive."

as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the follow-
ing vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson (3) Nays:

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and paving of
Washington Avenue from the west line of Tenth Street to the east
'line o even -Street."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the follow-
ing vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson (3) Nays:
(0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 502.

A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the paving of center of Santa Fe Avenue
from the north line of Harsh Street to the south ne of Otis Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.

A protest was presented against the re -zoning of Block 1,
Hansen's Court, an addition to the City of Salina, Kansas. Same j
was ordered filed.
An Ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 318B, being an ordinance 1
dividing the City of Salina into zones or districts and regulating
and restricting the location of trades and industries and the uses
of lands in such districts or zones and defining an additional in-
dustrial district or zone."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the Board of Commissioners j
adjourned.
