COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR T"EETING.
Regular meeting of the, Board of Commissioners, December
16, 1929. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the
roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Steven-
son and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 9th, 1929
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and
Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3817.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 3809 relating
to the vacation of certain alleys in Block 5 and Block 10, Depot
Addition, Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds
and Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3818.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."

A petition was presented asking for the location of a
street light at the corner of Eleventh Street and Park Street., and
on m otion same was referred to the City Manager.
A petition was p?esented asking for the curbing, guttering
and paving of Seventh Street from Elm Street to North Street.
Same was ordered filed.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing guttering
and paving of Front Street from Pine Street to north �treet.

City Clerk was instructed to publish notice of public
hearing to be held in the Commissioners Room of the City of Salina,
Kansas, January 20, 1930 at 5:00 P. M. in reference to placing
the following described property in the "C"Commercial District
to -wit: All that part of Blocks 3-4-5- and'6 in Episcopal Military
Institute Addition and Block 1 Golden Belt Sub -Division and the
unplatted ground lying between Block 1 Golden Belt Sub -Division,
and Block 6 Episcopal Military Institute Addition, not already in
said "C" Commercial District; tots 117, 119, 121, 122 on Third
Street, Original Town; Lot 1, Block 1, Bond's Addition, Lot 21 on
Ninth Street in Prescott Addition and the south half of Lot 10,
Block 17, South Park Addition.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
