COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
OCTOBER 21st, 1929.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, October
21st, 1929. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the
roll was called and Commissioners Helvering and Stevenson and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Dodds absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 14th, 1929
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and Steven-
son (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. Mayor approved the
same and is numbered 3801.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and regulating the business of buying, selling,
storing and collecting and otherwise dealing in junk as herein de-
fined, classifying junk dealers, providing for and requiring li-
censes therefor, providing ^penalties for the violation of this
ordinance and repealing Ordinance Number 2071 relating to junk
dealers."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Helvering and Stevenson (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds
absent. Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3802.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance extending the limits of Fire District No. 2 as defined
by Ordinance No. 3519."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for and requiring the construction of certain
sidewalks along certain streets in the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
