COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, September
16th, 1929. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the
roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and
j City Attorney Norris responded.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 9th, 1929,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Steven-
son (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3782.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to the condemnation of certain private property
for the purpose of widening Ohio ,treet from the south line of
Gypsum Avenue to the south line of the City limits; designating a
benefit district and providing for the appointment of commissioners
to make an appraisement and to assess damages and benefits."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson
(3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3783.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing that a certain unplatted tract of land, which
adjoins the present limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, be added
to, taken into and made a part of the City of Salina; extending the
limits of said city so as to include said added land; defining the
! corporate limits of said city as extended, and repealing all ordinanc
es and parts of ordinances in conflibt with the provisions of this
! ordinance."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
City kanager reported favorably on petition asking for the
construction of a sidewalk on the west side of,Sheridan Street from
Venango Street to Wilson Street.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the -board of Commissioners
adjourned.
