09-09-1929 Minutes! 6o COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS , REGULAR MEETING. COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. SEPTEMBER 9th, 1929. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, September 9th, 1929. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was called and Commissioners. Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 3rd, 1929 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introducdd entitled: "An ordinance making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes. On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3781. City Engineer filed survey and description of the land necessary to be appropriated so as to permit the widening of Ohio Street from the south line of Gypsum Avenue to the south city limits as per ordinance No. 3780. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to the condemnation of certain private property for the purpose of widening Ohio Street from the south line of Gypsum Avenue to the south line of the city limits; designating a benefit district and providing for the appointment of commissioners to make an appraisement and to assess damages and benefits." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. Commissioner Dodds moved that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for sale of Oewer Improvement Bonds in the amount of $20,978.17 authorized by Ordinance No. 3736; and Internal Improvement Bonds in the amount of $89,479.15 authorized by Ordinance No. 3778, and for $140,000.00 more or less, of otorm Sewer Bonds to be issued about January lst, 1930, for Storm Sewers now construct- ed or under construction. Bonds to be placed on sale Monday, September 23rd, 1929 at 3:30 P. M. Motion carried. On motion of Commissioner otevenson, the Board of Commission- ers adjourned. i
