Salina, Kansas, June 7th, 1929.

The City Planning Commission met in called session at the
Chamber of Commerce rooms' at 5:00 P. M. Members present,
Mr. Dyar, chairman, Mrs. Moore, Mr. Robb, Mr. Bren, Mr. Leighton,
Mr. Shaver and Mr. Reynolds.
The purpose of the meeting was to reconsider the petitions
of Dr. Harvey and P. Morton for the re -zoning of their property
! from "B" to 'f C" districts.
After considerable discussion of this question the fol-
lowing motion was made and carried unanimously:
That, after due consideration of the petitions of Dr. narvey
and P. Morton for the re -zoning of their properties from"B" to
"C" district; the Planning Commission desires to recommend that
r the present "B" zoning remain covering this property until such
time as the need for business expansion on Santa Fe Avenue would

warrant the reconsideration of these petitions.
The Planning Commission respectfully requests that the
City Commissioners give it a copy of the records of any action
taken by the City Commission where such action pertains to
any recommendations previously made by the Plan Commission.
The Plan Commission wishes to commend the City Commis-
sion for its prompt action in washing the streets which were
covered with water during the recent flood; it is the feeling
of the Commission that this was an excellent Preventative
measure to check the spread of disease from this source; and
is the hope of the Commission that this vigilance will continue
following any high waters in Salina which flood or back the
sewers into the streets.

On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same -was ordered filed.
Notion carried.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson City Clerk was instruct-
ed publish notice in the official Uity paper in refernee to
Special Meeting to be held in the Commissioners room at the City
Hall, August 13th, 1929 at 4:00 for the purpose of rezoning from
"A" residence to B residence zoning the property lying within
the following boundaries: From the corner of Park and 'Twelfth
Street, east on Park Otreet to Eleventh Street, south on Elev-
enth Otreet to State Street, west on State to Twelfth Otreet,
north on Twelfth Street to place of beginning on Park Street.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Com-
missioners adjourned.
