COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
! Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, July 12th,
1929. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll
was called and Commissioners Helvering and Stevenson and City Attor-
ney Norris responded. Commissioner Dodds absent.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance repealing Ordinance No. 3728, being an ordinance re-
lating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on
certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, to pay the
cost of curbing, guttering and paving Oakdale Avenue from the south
line of Gypsum Avenue to Kenwood Park Bridge in the City of Salina,
Kansas, and relating to and providing for the collection and payment
of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and Stev-
enson (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3741.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina to pay the cost of paving the _alley I ing between Santa Fe
Avenue and Seventh btreet from the north line of Mulberry Jtreet,
north to a point 225 feet south of the south line of Walnut 6treet in
the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the
collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Connecticut
Avenue from the south line of Iron Avenue to the north 11ne of
mer Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and
providing for the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Eleventh
Street from the south line of Crawford Avenue to the nor ng
r o rost Street in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and
providing for the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Eleventh
Street from the north line of Ash Street to the south=rne of
ark Street in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and
providing for the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to
the Board of Commissi oners .
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An.ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Salina to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Fifth Street
from the north line of Elm Street to the south line of NorM 0treef
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for
the collection and payment of such assessments.'
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to
the board of Commissioners.

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to
pay the cost of curbin, guttering and paving Gypsum Avenue from
the east line of Ohio 91treet to the north line of Delaware Otreet
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for
the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to
pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Oakdale Drive from
the south line of Walnut Street, south to entrance to OaVdale Park
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for
the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Jtevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to
pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Oakdale Avenue from
the south line of Gypsum Avenue to Kenwood Park Bridge in t e
City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the col-
lection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.

ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to
pay the cost of curbing and guttering Phillips Street from the
south line of Washington Avenue to the norline f Frescott Avenue
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for
the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina
to pay the cost of paving Republic Avenue from the east line of
Fifth Street to the east 1-.ne of Third otreet in the City of Salina,
Kansas, and relating to and providing for the collection and pay-
ment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to
pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Tenth btreet from
the north line of Elm 6treet to the south line of Bishop OEreet in
the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the
collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced f6r first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina to
pay the cost of curbing and guttering Wilson Street from the west
line of Ninth â–ºstreet to the east line o ei z Street in the City
of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the collection
and payment of such assessments.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners,
