JULY 8th, 1929.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, July 8th,
1929. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll
was called and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and
City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July lst, 1929 were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance ratifying -and confirming a contract with L. W. Rexroad
for the construction of certain curbing, guttering and paving improve -
rents on certain streets in the City of Salina, and providing for the
issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the
issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the folllwoin.g vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stev-
enson (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3738.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor
Construction Company for the construction of certain curbing, gut-
tering and paving improvements on certain streets in the City of
Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the
cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds
and Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3739.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract with M. R. Amerman for
the construction of certain paving and for the construction of
Storm Sewers No. 12 and 16 in the City of Salina, and providing for
the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the
issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Stevenson and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved thes ame and is numbered
3740.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance repealing ordinance No. 3728 being an ordinance relating
to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots
and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, to pay the cost of curbing,
guttering and paving Oakdale Avenue from the south line of Gypsum
venue to Kenwood Park Bridge in the City of Salina, Kansas, and
relating to'a.nd providing for the collection and payment of such
assessments.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
