COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINAS KANSAS.
JUNE 24th, 1929.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, June 24th,
1929. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll
was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Helvering and Dodds respond-
ed. City Attorney Norris absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 17th, 1929, were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina
to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Highland Avenue
from the south line of Beloit Avenue to the north line of Ulaflin
Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing
for the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Steven-
son and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 3727.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina,
to pay the cost of curbing, guttering and paving Oakdale Avenue
from the south line of Gypsum Avenue to Kenwood Park Bridge In
the City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the
collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Stevenson and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is num-
bered 3728.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and approtioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina
to pay the cost of curbing and guttering Second Street from the
north line of Elm Street to the south line of North Street in the
City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the col-
lection and payment of such assessments."
On =tion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final acb ption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Steven-
son and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3729.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina
to pay the cost of paving Washington
Avenue from the west line of
Eleventh Street to the wesT line o Twelfth Street in the City
of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the collection
and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Stevenson and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3730.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the
City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $20,978.17 to pay the cost of
repairing, rebuilding and reconstructing certain parts of certain
sewers in the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the Waterworks Department of the City
j of Salina, and to the payment and collection of charges for water
furnished by the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, the Board of Commission-
ere adjourned.
