Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, June 10th,
1929. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 3rd, 1929, and
negular Meeting of June 4th, 1929 were read and approved as read.

City Engineers estimate for the above named work was read.

City Engineer tabulated the above bids.
Commissioner Dodds moved that the bid of H. J. Taylor Con-
struction Company, L. W. Rexroad and M. R. Amerman be held for con-
sideration and that the certified checks be Peturned by the City
i
Clerk to the unsuccessful bidders. Motion carried.

Commissioner Dodds moved that the contract for curbing, gut-
tering and paving Fifth Otreet from Elm to North be awarded to H. J.
4 Taylor Construction Company, said paving to be of 9" Vibrolithic
`
concrete, and that the Mayor be authorized to sign contract on be-
half of the Gity for such work with H. J. Taylor Construction Com-
pany. Motion carried.
Commissioner Dodds moved that the contract for curbing, gutter -

j ing and paving Eleventh Street from Ash Street to Park Street be
( awarded to H. J. Taylor Construction Company, said paving to be of

21" brick on 5" concrete base, and that. the .1,ayor be authorized to
sign contract on behalf of the City for such work with IT. J. Taylor

Commissioner Dodds moved that the contract for paving alley

Commissioner Dodds moved that the contract for Jtorm sewer
Number 12 as provided for by Ordinance Number 3724 and Storm Sewer
Number 16, as provided for by Ordinance No. 3718 be awarded to
1,1. R. Amerman, said sewer to be constructed of No. 20 D.S.V.S. Pipe
in sizes 12 inch to 27 inch inclusive; and No. 1, Vitrified Segment
Block in size 30 inch, and that the Mayor be authorized to sign
contract on behalf of the City for such work with M. R. Amerman.
Motion carried.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to and requiring the cutting of weeds and ob-
noxious vegetable growth in the city of Salina.'
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking for the closing of the
19 foot alley between Penn Avenue and Columbia Avenue through the
center of Block 3, Oakdale Addition to the City of Salina. Same was
ordered filed.

On motion of Commissioner Dodds, the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
