Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 15th, 1929.
Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Dodds, the roll was
called and Commissioners Dodds and Stevenson and City Attorney Nor-
ris responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.
i An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
! ordinance providing for the curbing and guttering of Phillips Street
I from the south line of Washington Avenue to the north-11ne of Pres-
cott Avenue, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall
be assessed and the manner of payment therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of Ells-
worth Avenue from the west line of Ninth "treet to the east line
or highland Circle, and providing for the cost thereof, how the
same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of Oakdale
Drive_=.from the south line of Walnut atreet south to entrance to
Oakdale Park, and providing for the cost thereoft how the same shall
be assessed and the manner of payment therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of Elev
enth otreet from the south line of Crawford Avenue to thenor.tE—
line of Frost Street, and providing for the cost thereof, how the
same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the curbing and guttering of the south side
of Jewell Avenue from the west line of Ninth Otreet west one block
to a point opposite the intersection of the east line of the east
line of highland Circle with Jewell Avenue and for the graveling of
said Jewell Avenue between such limits, and providing for the cost
thereof, how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment
therefor.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
..An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the recurbing, reguttering and repaving of
Santa Fe Avenue from the south line of u'Valnut 6treet to the south
line of the right-of-way of the main line of the Union Pacific Rail-
road Company, and providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall
be assessed and the manner of payment therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
City Attorney reporWthat the remonstrance against the curbing,
guttering and paving of Connecticut Avenue from Iron Avenue to btap
ler Avenue was insufficient.

Connecticut Avenue from the south line of Iron A -venue to the north
line of otapler Avenue, and providing for the cost thereof, how
the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor."
Onmotion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners*
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson, the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
