bpecial meeting of the Board of Commissioners, April 22nd,
1929, for the purpose of hearing any complaints that might be made
by property owners as to the valuation placed on certain lots and
pieces of ground on which to base the cost of:
Curbing, guttering and paving Highland Avenue from Beloit
Avenue to Claflin Avenue;
Curbing, guttering and paving Oakdale Avenue from Gypsum

Avenue to Kenwood Park 15ridge;
Paving Republic AvenueY from Fifth btreet to Third street;
Paving �vashington Avenue from Eleventh btreet co Twelfth
Street;

Curbing and guttering Second Street from Elm Street to
North Street.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helverin.g, the roll was
called and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and City
Attorney Norris responded.
The appraisers report for the curbing, mutterirg and paving
Highland Avenue from Beloit Avenue to Claflin_trenue was taken up
and read as follows:

duly and severally sworn according, to law, each for himself, does
hereby solernly swear that he is disinterested in any of the
property* liable to special assessment for the cost of curbing, gut-
tering and paving Highland Avenue from Beloit Avenue to Claflin
Avenue in said City, as more particularly described and provided
for in ordinance Number 3658 of the City of 0,=_lin.a, Kansas; and
that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a
true and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground
abutting on such respective street as above described, without re-
gard to the buildings or improvements thereon, for the distance to be
improved as set forth and. designated by the Board of Commissioners

curbing, guttering and paving highland Avenue from Beloit Avenue
to Claflin '=venue be adopted as read. Motion carried.
The appraisers report for the curbing, guttering and paving
of Oakdale Avenue from Gypsum Avenue to Kenwood Park Bridge was
taken up and read as follows:

Fifth Street to Third Street was taken up and read as follows::

otreet be adopted as read. Motion carried.
The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering of
0econd btreet from Elm Street to North Street was taken up and read
as follows:

duly and severally sworn according to law, each .for himself, does
hereby solemnly swear that he is disinterested in any of the proper-
ty liable to special assessment for the cost of curbing and guttering
Second Street from Elm Street to North street in said City as pore
particularly described and provided for in Ordint..nce No. 3654 of the
City of Salina, Kansas; and that each of us will to the best of our
judgment and ability make a true and impartial appraisement of all
the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such respective street as
shove described, without regard to the buildings or improvements
thereon, for the distance to be improved as set forth and designated
by the Board of Commissioners in the ordinance above mentioned. So
