COMIJISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS. REGULAR i,'EETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY 25th, 1929.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, February
25th, 1929. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Campbell.,
the roll was called and Comissioners Campbell and Dodds and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 18th, 1929
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3670.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3671.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance providing for the construction of certain storm sewers in
the City of Salina to be designated as Storm Sewers No. 11 and 12,
and providing for the issuing of improvement bonds to pay the cost
thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nags (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the
same and is numbered 3672.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 4 of Ordinance No. 3623 relating to
the construction of buildings in the City of Salina, and repealing
said original section."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2) Nays:
(0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the same
and is numbered 3673.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance amending Section 5-203 of Revised Ordinances 1925 as amend-
ed by Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3643, relating to the construction
of buildings within the City of Salina, and repealing said original
sections."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2) bays: (0)
Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 3674.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A
resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, grading and having of
Gypsum Avenue from the east line of Ohio Avenue to the west line of
Delaware Street."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution was adopted as
read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2) Nays: (0) Commission-
er Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the same and is numbered
461.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 106 of Reso-
lution Book number 2.

A request was presented from the Lee Hardware Company asking
for the creating and reopening certain alleys and parts of alleys
in the City of Salina.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance creating and reopening, certain alleys and parts of alleys
in the City of Salina, heretofore vacated by Ordinance Number 2323,
and vacating the proposed new alley referred to in said Ordinance
Number 2323, and repealing Ordinance Number 2323."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance repealing ordinances Numbered 3656, 3659 and 3665 of the
City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
