COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR +iEETING.

SALTNA, KANSAS.
j FEBRUARY 4th, 1929.
j Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners.. February 4th,
1929. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Campbell, the
._roll was called and Commissioners Campbell and Dodds and City tlttorney
Norris responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.

The minutes of the Regular r,Ieeting of January 28th, 1929 were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted b7sections and on its f inal a doption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2) Nays: (0)
Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3666.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance amending Sections 5 and 6 of Ordinance Number 3640, being
an ordinance relating to and regulating traffic upon certain public
streets in the Citi of aalina and repealing said original sections
1 of said ord.inance.'
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted, by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and
the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2) Nays: (0)
1 Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting 1,4a7or approved the same and is
numbered 3667.
An application was received from the Blue Cab Company asking
for permission to establish a cab stand to be located on the corner
of Eighth Street and Ash Street near the Hotel :Varren.
On motion of Corrmnissioner Dodds application was granted.

Application for permission to operate a taxicab in the City of
Salina was .received from J. G. buarholm, and on motion cf Commissioner
Dodds same was granted.
City Engineer filed plans and. specifications .for street exca-
vation and repairs under Ordinance Number 3644 of the City of Salina.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same were approved by the
Board of Commissioners.
City Engineers plans for sewer or. Fourth Street near the
Eberhardt Lumber Company were approved, and the Street Department was
authorized to construct this sewer.

adjourned.
