COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JANUARY 28th, 1929
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, January 28th,
1929. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was
called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and Dodds and City At-
torney Norris responded.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 21st, 1929
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; .Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3662.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
j "An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
Galina, r`-ansas, to pay the cost of constructing Main Sanitary Sewers
in gain Sewer Districts "P" and "R", and relating to and providing
for the collection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3663.
An ordinance was introduced- for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of
balina, Kansas to pay the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary
Sewers in Lateral sewer Districts Nos. 143-1-46-148-150-152 and 155,
and relating to and providing for the collection and payment of
such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The T,riayor approved the same and is numbered
3664.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering and paving of
Columbia Avenue from the north line of Iron Avenue to the south
1 ne of Ash Street and providing for the cost thereof, how the
same shall be assessed and the manner of payment therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adaption the roll was called
and the following vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3665.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance amending Sections 5 and 6 of Ordinance No. 3640, being an
ordinance relating to and regulating traffic upon certain public
streets in the City of Salina anal repealing said original sections
of said ordinance.11
On motion of Commissioner Camabell the ordinance was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
Trust Deed was received from Delle Davis with a deposit of
$125.00.
Commissioner Dodds moved that same be accepted and filed, and
that the City Treasurer be'instructed to place the deposit in the
Gypsum Hill Lot Owners Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance Number
3530 of the City of Salina. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
