Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, December
26th, 1925. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvaring,
the roll was called and Commissioners He leering and Campbell and
City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Dodds absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 17th, 1928
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance 'was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commisd onar Campbell the ordinance was read
and 'adopted by sections and on its final a doption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3637.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3482 as amended
by Ordinance No. 3491, relating to the location of gasoline fill-
ing stations on certain streets in the City of Salina, and repeal-
ing said original sections."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvoring and Camp-
bell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3638.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 39 of Ordinance No. 2993, being
Section 5-239 Revised Ordinances 1925, relating to the location
of gasoline filling stations. it
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final acb ption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: He leering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3639.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and regulating traffic upon car tain
public streets of the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvaring and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3640.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing that certain platted and unplattad tracts
of land, which adjoin the present limits of the City of Salina,
Kansas, be added to and taken into and made parts of the City of
Salina; extending the limits of said city so as to include said
added land; defining the corporate limits as extended; and
repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with US
provisions of this ordinance."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final a drption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3641.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and regulating the installation of
gas service pipes in the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and Camp-
bell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3642.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance 2993 being Section
5-203 of Revised Ordinances 1925, relating to buildings within
the fire limits of the City of Salina and repealing said origin-
al section."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: He lvering and
Oampbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3643.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and regulating excavations in the
streets, alleys and other public grounds in the City of Salina,
providing for the method of doing such work and of refilling the
same and of repairing the pavement covering the same and provid-
ing the penalty for the violation of the provisions of this
ordinance, and repeal ing certain ordinances or parts of ordinances
of the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: He lvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The
Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3644.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance fixing the salaries of certain officers of the City
of Salina, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith-"
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final acb ption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and Camp-
bell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3645.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
