Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, December
17th, 1928. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the
roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and DDodds
and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutas of the Regular Mea ting of December 10th, 1928
and Regular Meeting of December 11th, 1928 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes.

On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final acb ption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbared
3634.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposas."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3635.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3482, as amended
by Ordinance No. 3491, relating to the location of gasoline filling
stations on certain streets in the City of §alina, and repealing
said original sections."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was r3ferred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 39 of Ordinance 2993, being Section
5-239 Revised Ordinances 1925, relating to the location of gasoline
filling stations."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and regulating traffic upon certain
public straats of the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing that car tain platted and unplatted tracts
of land, which adjoin the present limits of the City of Salina,
Kansas be added to and taken into bnd made parts of the City of
Salina; extending the limits of said City so as to include said
added land; defining the corporate limits as extended; and repeal-
ing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the pro-
visions of this ordinance."
Ori -notion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
HAn ordinance relating to and regulating the installation of gas
pipes in the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 3 of Ordinance 2993 being section
5-203 Revised Ordinances 1925, relating to buildings within the
fire limits within the City of Salina and repealing said origin-
al section."

On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
i Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
An ordinance fixing the salaries of certain officers of the City
of Salina, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the

Board of Commissioners.

Taxicab liability policies were received from:

' On motion of Commissioner Dodds same were approved by the i
Board of Commissioners.
Applications asking for permission to operate a taxicab in
the City of Salina ware received from: j

On motion of Commissioner Campbell, license was granted.

City Attorney was instructed to attend League Meeting to be i
held at Topeka, Kansas.

A petition was
presented asking for the location of a street ,
light at the corner of Highland Avenue and Jewell Avenue. Same
was referred to the City Manager.

The appraisers report for construction of main sanitary
sewers Pm and llqtl, and lateral sm itary sewers 143-146-148-150-
152
43 146 145-150-152 and 155 was received, and on motion of Commissioner'Dodds,
Monday, January 7th, 1929 at 5:00 P. M. was designated as a
special meeting at which time the report will be taken up and
i acted on by the Board of Commissioners, and that the City Clerk
give notice in the official City paper as provided by law. Motion
carried.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell, the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
