Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, December
3rd, 1928. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Campbell,
the roll was called and Commissioners Campbell and Dodds and
City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner He leering absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 26th, 1928
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had: Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3628.
City 3nginaers 3stimate Number 1 for the construction of
sewers, under contract dated October 15th, 1928, a warded to
H. J. Taylor Construction Company was received, and on motion of
Commissioner Dodds same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final a cb ption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvaring absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3629*
City Engineers Estimate Number 2 for the construction of
sewers under contract dated August 20th, 1928, awarded to H. J.
Taylor Construction Company was received, and on motion of Commis-
sioner Dodds same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3630.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and providing for the levy and collection of
a license tax upon certain vending and slot machines, providing a
penalty for the violation of this ordinance, and repealing all
ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3188, being an ordinance
dividing the City of Salina into zones or districts and regulating
aid restricting the location of trades and industries, etd. , and
the uses of land in each of such districts or zones, and defin-
ing additional commercial and Light Industrial Districts or zones".
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
