Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, November 19th, 1928. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 13th, 1928 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes." On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3619. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance Number 3541, being an ordinance relating to the moving of houses or other buildings in the City of Salina." On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final a da ption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 36200 A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the sanding of Luclid Avenue from the west line of Fifth Street to the east line of Ninth traat.I On motion of Commissioner Campbell the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 458. t The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 102 of Reso- lution Book Number 2. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: t'An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the building and construction of a certain main sanitary sewer in Main Sewer District N". and for the construction of certain lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts No. 152 and 155 and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending issuance and sale of bonds." On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance relating to the construction of buildings in the City of Salina and amending certain sections of Ordinance No: 2993 and repealing such original sections." On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance prohibiting the storage of certain explosives in the City of Salina." On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the inspection of buildings and premises by the Fire Department, regulating certain hazards to safeguard the public and property against fire, and providing penalties for the violation thereof, and repealing car iitain ordi- nances or parts of ordinances of the City of Salina." On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. 21 622 An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance regulating the construction of chimneys, flues and fireplaces and providing penalties for the violation thereof. On m otion of Commissioner Dodds sarw was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing that certain platted and unplatted tracts of land, which adjoin the present limits of the City of Salina, Kansas be added to and taken into and made a part of the City of Salina; extending the limits of said city so as to includd said added land; defining the corporate limits of said city as extend- ed, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance." On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. Trust Deeds were received from: R. A. Burch and C. W. Burch, with a deposit of 100.00 Harriett Bliss, Administratrix, " " " " 100.00 William Clark, It " " 4 93.75 Commissioner Campbell moved that same be accepted and filed and that the City Treasurer be instructed to place the deposits in the Gypsum Hill Lot Owners 3ndoinmiant Fund as provided by Ordinance No. 3530 of the City of Salina. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Dodds, the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk.
