COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
SEPTEMBER 4th, 1928.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Sep-
tember 4th, 1928. Meeting was called to order by Mayor
Helvering, the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering
and Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded. Commission-
er Campbell absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 27th2
1928 and Regular Meeting of August 29th, 1928 were read
and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Helvering and Dodds (2 ) Nays: (0) Commissioner Campbell
absent. Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3599.
Bids as advertised for, for the repair and re -construction
of sanitary sewers and 20 inch sewage force main on East
Ash Street was received from:
H. J. Taylor Construction Company, Salina, Kansas.
City Engineers estimate of cost for the above named
work was read.
On m otion of Commissioner Dodds bid was rejected and
City Engineer was instructed to proceed with work according
to estimate. Motion carried.
A contract was presented by the Mausoleum Builders
Corporation of Wichita, Kansas, for the erection of a
mausoleum in the Gypsum Sill Cemetery.
On motion, Mayor Helvering was instructed to sign
the above named contract.
City Engineer filed estimate of cost of sidewalks
ordered in by Ordinance Number 3547, and authorized to let
contract within his estimate for the sidewalks not con-
structed by property owners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, the Board of Com-
missioners adjourned.
