APRIL 15, 1943.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 15, 1943. Meeting was
called to order -by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Elliott and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners
Breon and Ferm absent.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Morgenstern, 71liott and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners
Breon and Ferm absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-195.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for
the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted,by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Morgenstern, -Elliott and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners
Breon and Ferm absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-196.
The application from the "Forty Niners Club" which was presented to the
Board of Commissioners, April 12th, 1943, asking for a permit to sell beer in the
second story building at 219 North Santa Fe Avenue was again taken up by the Board
of Commissioners. Application having been approved by Horace A. Cannon, Commanding
Officer, 49th Aviation Squadron, Air Corps, Commissioner Price moved that request
be granted and a license be issued when the regular application is filed, together
with the required fee. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Elliott the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
