APRIL 9, 1943.
BE IT RRMEMBERED that on Friday, April 9, 1943, the Board of Commissioners
met as a Board of Canvassers, (ex -officio) as provided by lax, to canvass the vote
cast at the Regular City Election held in Salina, Kansas, April 6, 1943.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and
Commissioners Morgenstern, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Com-
missioner Farm absent and Commissioner Branson deceased.
The returns of the City Election were presented by the City Clerk and
opened in the presence of the Commissioners assembled, duly canvassed and the
result declared, and the City Clerk was directed by vote of the Board to spread
upon the records the result of the canvass which is done as follows:

On motion of Commissioner Breon the City Clerk made record
as to the result
of the canvass that the following named persons are elected to the
offices to be
filled:

Commissioner Breon moved that the report and findings of the
Canvassing
Board as above set forth be received and ordered spread upon the records
and the
persons above named be declared elected to the respective offices above set forth.
Motion adopted.
Commissioner Price moved that the recommendation received
from the City
Planning Commission in reference to rezoning the West 65 feet of the East 210 feet
of Lot 4, Block 6, Oakdale Addition, known as 636 East Iron Avenue,
be again referred
to the City Planning Commission. Motion adopted.
i A petition was presented from Florence McConnell, asking
for the rezoning
of property known as 556 South Tenth Street from "A" Residential to
"B" Residential
Zone. Petition was referred to the City Planning Commission.

Commissioner Price moved that the Baseball Ground in Kenwood
Park be leased
jointly to the American Legion, Camp Phillips and the Air Base, and
that the Commanding
Officers of Camp Phillips and the Air Base, and a representative of
the American Legion
arrange a schedule so there will be no conflicting of dates for games or practice.
Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
