04-05-1943 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. APRIL 5, 1943. I Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 5, 1943. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgen- stern, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner "Ferm iabsent and Commissioner Branson deceased. k ! The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 31, 1943 were read and approved as read. i 1 Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as fol- lows: Robert R. Spangler i Frank A. Miller 3 Commissioner Price moved that application received from Robert R. Spangler be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Commissioner Breon moved that application received from Frank A. Miller be j i rejected by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. The Warren Petroleum Company of Tulsa, Oklahoma, made application for lease of portion of Elm Street (now unused) lying west of Chicago Street, south of Santa j Fe switch track Number 20. Co mmissioner• Breon moved that City Attorney prepare a lease to be submitted at next regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. i i Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License for the year 1943 was received as follows: Application Number Name of Applicant Name and Location of Place o Business i 60 0. T. Dotson The Viceroy 332 North Santa Fe Commissioner Price moved that application be held over for further con- sideration. Motion adopted. A report was received from the City Planning Commission in reference to the rezoning of the West 65 feet of the East 210 feet of Lot 4, Block 6, in Oakdale Addition from "At' residential to "B" residential, which recommended the rezoning from "A" Residential to "B" Residential Zone, of all of Lot 4, Block 6, Oakdale Addition, Lots 1, 2 and 3 Geis Addition, and Lots 1 to 8 inclusive, Replat of Block 5, Oakdale Addition, including that part of Lot 4, Block 6, Oakdale Addition first above specified, be rezoned from "A" Residential to "B" Residential Zone. On motion of Commissioner Breon the report was again referred to the City Planning Commission on account of recommendation for the rezoning of other area does not comply with the original petition, and that the City Planning Commission make a report on the original petition. Motion adopted. A petition was received from Mrs. Gertrude Winterbot ham asking for the rezoning from "A" Residential to "B" Residential Zone of Lats 30 and 32, Block 8, Bond's Addition, known as 860 South Santa Fe Avenue. Petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned. `— City Clerk
