Meeting was oalle d to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgen- stern, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Perm absent and Commissioner Branson deceased. i ' The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 22, 1943 were read and approved ! as read. i Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as follows: Frank Shell Margie Webster ' Commissioner Price moved that application received from Frank Shell be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. Commissioner Price moved that application received from Margie Webster be approved and license granted for day driving only. Motion adopted. A petition was presented from Mrs. Elizabeth Wiegner and Mrs. Rose Frey, asking for the rezoning from "A" Residence to "B'" Residence Zone of the West 85 feet of the East 210 feet of Lot 4, Block 6, Oakdale Addition, known as 636 East Iron Avenue. Petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. Tit us Red Top Inn 100 South Olive Commissioner Price moved that application be rejected by the Board of Commis- sioners. Motion adopted. Taxicab Insurance Policies covering taxicabs awned by J. E. Hull and W. B. McMickle of the Bell Cab Company received and ordered filed. 0 Mr, Ira S. Huntington submitted his resignation as a member of the City Plan- ning Commissioner. On motion of Commissioner Price resignation was accepted by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. Mayor Morgenstern submitted for appointment the name of the following to serve as a member of the Memorial Hall Boards Memorial Hall Board: Ira S. Huntington, for a term ending April 1, 1945, to succeed Harold D. Bates who resigned July 27, 1943. i Commissioner Price moved that appointment be confirmed by the Board of Com- missioners. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." i On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by see - tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ferm absent and Commissioner Branson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-194.
