03-01-1943 Minutesr COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. MARCH 1, 1943 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 1, 1943. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Ferm absent and Commissioner Branson deceased. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 22, 1943 were read and approved as read. Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as follows: Mildred Bower Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted for day driving only. Motion adopted. follows: Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as Dale Boyce Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted. Motion a.dopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation fo r t he payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: ;+forgenstern, Breon and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ferm absent and Commissioner Branson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-191. Trust Deed with a deposit of $100.00 was received from Grace E. Stewart for W. H. Stewart, Estate, for the perpetual cars of the North one-half of Lot Number 24, Block 10, in the GysumHill Cemetery of Salina, Kansas. Commissioner Price moved that Trust Deed be accepted by the Board of Commissioners and that the City Treasurer be insttlzcted to place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Salina, Kansas. Motion adopted. Applica tion Number 55 for a General Retailer Class "A" Individual License to sell cereal malt beverages, for Vera Scheidt, d/b/a Dutch Mill, at 901 North Santa Fe Avenue, presented to the Board of Commissioners February 22, 1943, was again taken up by the Board of Commissioners.
