COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY 15, 1943.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 15, 1943. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Ferm
absent and Commissioner Branson deceased.
as read. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 8, 1943 were read and approved
Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as
follows:

Commissioner Breon moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
A communication was received from Burch, Litowich, Royce, Clevenger and
Hampton in reference to the development of certain lots by the Sunset Development
Company in conjunction with the Rau Construction Company. Ordered filed.
City Clerk reported that W. B. MoMickle and J. E. Hull of the Bell Cab
Company had filed in his office Liability Insurance Policies in $5,000.00$10,000.00
and $1,000.00 limits as ordered by the Board of Commissioners, covering taxicabs
Number 24 and Number 25. Commissioner Price moved that policies filed be approved.
Motion adopted.
A contract was presented between the United States of America and City
of Salina, Kansas, in reference to supplying of water to the War Housing Project
at Salina, Kansas, Identification No. KANS-14051. Commissioner Breon moved that
the Mayor be authorized to sign the same on behalf of the City of Salina. Motion
adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for
the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ferm absent
and Commissioner Branson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
I for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon and Price (3) Commissioner Ferm absent and Commissioner
Branson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-188.
City Engineer submitted Final Estimates for the repair and reconstruction

of a portion of East Ash Street Sewer as provided for by Ordinance Number 5018.
Commissioner Price moved that estimates be approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Motion adopted.
City Engineer submitted Final Estimate for the repair and reconstruction of
a portion of East Ash Street Sewer as provided for by Ordinance Number 5023. Com-
missioner Price moved that estimate be approved by the Board of Commissioners.

A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating to issuance
of Temporary Note in the amount of $13,047.83 (Ash Street Sewer Repair Jobs 92 and
92B) ."

On motion of Commissioner Breon the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgen-
stern, Breon and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ferm absent and Commissioner
Branson deceased. Mayor approved t he resolution and it is numbered 825.

tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ferm
absent and Commissioner Branson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered A-190.
Commissioner Price moved that ordinance introduced on February 8th relating
to certain coin operated devices be withdrawn and that no further action be taken
thereon. Motion carried.
Commissioner Price moved that the purchase of two two-way radios for the
Police Department be authorized. Motion adopted.
On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
