Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 25, 1943. Meeting
E ! was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners
Morgenstern, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner
Ferm absent and Commissioner Branson deceased.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 20, 1943"were read and
j approved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as
follows:

' Commissioner Breon moved that application received from Zelta R. Wilcox
be approved and license granted, for day driving only; and that application received
from Wilbur L. Lampson be approved as soon as approved by the Chief of Police.
Motion adopted.

A special meeting of the Waterworks
Advisory Board was held at the Lamer Hotel at 12:00 o'clock
j noon, January 20, 1943, with the following members present:

Fred D. Kastner, Chairman, R. C. Gebhert, Frank Putnam and
H. L. Brown, Secretary.
In response to a request from the Federal Housing
1 authority that the City consider a special rate for
water to be furnish the Federal Housing Unit to be con-
structed on the area south and east of Sunset Park, the Board
G wishes to recommend that the following rate be charged the
Federal Housing authority for all water used in any one
month:
lst, 15,000 cubic feet @ 9� per hundred cubic feet.
All above 15,000 cubic feet at 5X per hundred cubic feet.
With a monthly minimum of $50.00 per month.

The Board further recommends the purchase of
a 1, ton truck chassis and 1000 feet of 2j" hose to be
used by the Fire Department, so that the present squad
wagon may be released by the Fire Department to be used for
training purposes by the Civilian Defense Auxiliary fire-
men. The equipment to cost approximately $2500.00.
No further business appearing the meeting ad-
journed.
WATERWORKS ADVISORY BOARD

Commissioner Breon moved that recommendation relating to special rate
for water to be furnished the Federal Housing Unit to be constructed on the area
south and east of Sunset Park be approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion
adopted.

as follows:

Commissioner Price moved that application be approved and license granted.
Motion adopted.
Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved and license
granted, subject to approval of liability insurance policies submitted
by such taxicab owners, and that consideration of such liability insurance
policies be continued for further consideration. Motion adopted.
Commissioner Breon moved that the recommendation of the Waterworks
Advisory Board for the purchase of a 1-k ton fire truck chassis for the use of the
Fire Department be approved and that such truck be purchased from the surplus
funds of the Waterworks Department as authorized by law, and that on consideration
of the bids submitted, the low bid of $1204.75 for a Diamond "T" truck chassis
be accepted and that such truck be purchased for said amount from H. B. Peatling
Motor Company. Motion adopted.
Mayor Morgenstern submitted for appointment, the names of the following
as members of the various City Boards:
MUNICIPAL BAND BOARD:
C. H. Gawthrop for a term of three years from January 1, 1943,
to succeed himself.
WATER9'iORKS ADVISORY BOARD:
Fred D. Kastner, for a term of three years from January 1, 1943,
to succeed himself.
Raymond C. Gebhart, for a term of three years from January 1, 1943
to succeed himself.

S. W. Jackson, for a term of three years from January 1, 1943,

Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved and license

On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned to
meet in regular session, January 30, 1943.
