Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 20, 1943.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Com-
missioners Morgenstern, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded.
Commissioner Ferm absent and Commissioner Branson deceased.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 11, 1943 and Regular —
Meeting of January 15, 1943 were read and approved as read.
Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received
as follows:
W. B. McMickle
E. N. Gant
Leonard E. Mayo
George Maurice Bross
Ruby E. Boyd, Sr.,
Boye Cruce
Commissioner Breen moved that all of the above applications, with the
exception of application received from Boyd Cruce, be approved and license granted,
and that the application received from Boyd Cruce be a proved as soon as he presents
his Chauffeurs License at the City Clerk's office. Motion adopted.

Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1943 received as

Commissioner Price moved that application be approved and license granted
for day driving only. Motion adopted.
Applications for Cereal Malt Beverage License for the year 1943 received
as follows:

Commissioner Price moved that the above applications be approved and license
granted. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriations
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Breon the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was hada
Ayes: Morgenstern, Breon and Price (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ferm absent and
Commissioner Branson deceased. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered
A-185.
Combination Gas Fitters and Plumbers Bond for the City Plumbing Company
was presented tot he Board of Commissioners and Commissioner Price moved that bond
be approved and ordered filed. Motion adopted.
