11-17-1941 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALIN A, KANSAS. NOVW9M, 17, 1941. _ Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 17, 1941. Meeting was calked to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Morgenstern, Branson, Breon and Price and City Attorney Norris responded. Commis- sioner Ferm absent. The minutes of the Rerrular Meeting of November 10, 1941 and Regular Meeting of November 15, 1941 were read and approved as read. 9 Mr. Oscar Hederstedt, d/b/a Hederstedt's Hardware and Implement Company, at 203 East Iron Avenue, appeared before the Roard of Commissioners and asked for a permit to auction off the balance of his hardware stock. Commissioner Price moved that license fee of $50.00 be waived. Motion adopted. � I Application for taxicab drivers license for the year 1941 received from: LeRoy Cook Commissioner Price moved that application be approved and license granted. d Motion adopted. A communication was received from Chief of Police, D. K. Fitch, recom- mending the revocation of taxicab drivers license Number 34 issued to Ernest A. Lewis, January 14, 1941. Commissioner Branson moved that license be revoked. Motion adopted. Trust Deed, with a deposit of $100.00 was received from L. B. Stevenson and Otho M. Schmidt, Executors of the estate of M. C. Stevenson, deceased, for the perpetual care of the South 1/2 and the South 1/2 of the North 1,2 of Lot Nine, Block Ten, in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery of Salina, Kansas. Commissioner Breon moved that Trust Deed be accepted by the Board of Commissioners and that the City Treasurer be instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as provided by Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Salina, Kansas. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson, Breon and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Ferm absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-137. On motion of Commissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned. 17 City Clerk
