Meeting was called to order by Acting 14ayor Ferm, the roll was called and Commissioners Ferm, Branson, Breon and Price and City Attotney`Norris respond- ed. Commissioner Morgenstern absent. The minutes of the Regular Mleeting of September 8, 1941 were read and approved as read. Applications for taxicab drivers license for the year 1941 received as follows: Russell Edward Pruitt Robert Ira Langston L. D. White Commissioner Breon moved that applications be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ferm, Branson, Rreon and Price (4) T?ays:(0) Commissioner «dorgenstern absent. Acting n:"ayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-129. Agreement between the City of Salina and the Union Pacific, Railroad Company for the storage of crushed stone on certain premises owned by the Union Pacific Railroad Company was presented and read. Commissioner Price moved that the lease be approved by the Board of Commissioners and that the Acting Payor be authorized to sign lease on behalf of the City of Salina. Motion adopted. A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating to the storage of crushed stone on certain premises owned by the Union Pacific Railroad Company in the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and i on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ferm, Branson, Breon and Price (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Morgenstern absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 813. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 185 of Resolution i Book Number 3.
