Regular TVIeeting of the loard of Commissioners September 29, 1941.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor N_orgenstern, the roll was called and
Commissioners ",lorgenstern, Branson, Breon, Farm and Price responded. City
Attorney Norris absent. j

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 22, 1941 were read
and approved as read.
Nlrs. E. K. Morrow and a number of other women appeared before the
Board of Commissioners in reference to a Public Rest Room. No action taken by
the Board of Commissioners.

Bids for pump and motor to be used for the Salina Water Department
received as follows:
Layne -Western Company, - - - - - - - - - - -$4,817.00
The American Well Viorks - - - - - - - - - - 5,015.00
Forslund Pump Cmpany - - - - - - - - - - -- 5,248.00
Commissioner Price moved that the contract be awarded to the Layne -
Western Company as per their bid submitted. Motion adopted.
Pursuant to notice published in the Salina Journal the following
Internal Improvement Bonds dated August 1, 1941, bearing interest at the
rate of 1-1/4% per annum were placed on sale:
Series S-127 consisting of ten bonds, Total Value --$2,720.74
The Waterworks Department of the City of Salina offered par and _
accrued interest. Commissioner Price moved that the offer be accepted _ {
subject to the rejection of the State School Fund Commission. Motion
adopted. j
On motion of &mnissioner Price the Board of Commissioners adjourned
to meet in regular session Wednesday, October 1, 1941 at twelve o'clock
noon.
