08-30-1941 Minutes1 1 1 1 1 COMMISSInNERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. AUGUST 30, 1941. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 30, 1941. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Morgenstern, the roll was called and Commissioners Mor- genstern, Branson and Breon and Acting City Attorney Jenkins responded. Commission- ers Ferm and Price and -City Attorney Norris absent. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Branson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Morgenstern, Branson and Breon (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Ferm and Price absent. A resolution was received from the Board of County Commissioners of Saline County, Kansas, dated August 299 1941, authorizing compromise of taxes amounting to $130.29 for the years 1931 to 1937 both inclusive on Lot 53 and the south ten (10) feet of Lot 51, Second Street, Original Town of Salina, for the sum of $100.00. Commissioner Breon moved that the action of the Board of County Commissioners be approved and that the compromise be authorized by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, and that the City Clerk be authorized to certify such action to the County Clerk of Saline County, Kansas. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Breon the Board of Commissioners adjourned. Vol
